Time to break out the summer designs and get started

Just a few new things we've put together lately.

This sweater is made with Omega's KuKu 100 yarn. 3 1/2 skeins slate blue. The pattern is from Doris Chan's Everyday Crochet book, also available here. Crocheted from top down in one piece.

Ceci made this beautiful Seraphina shawl with 1 1/2 skeins Omega Estilo yarn in steel blue. This pattern can be found online free.

This is the Karen's Garden Party Wrap in salmon Omega Estilo yarn, less than 1 skein

This adorable romper outfit Betty made with OmegaCrys which is available in 89 colors. WOW!

I hope to have patterns for these shortly

This Dreamy yellow bag was made with Omega LaEspiga nylon size 9. It was very easy to make and adding the 7.2" purse frame (PV65) was a snap (no pun intended). Just open the frame all the way and you see a rectangle. That's how big to make your bag, then just slip stitch the bag to the frame.

This adds a whole new dimension to what kind of bags I can make, from every day to evening and bridal. I'm so excited. This really does tickle a pursaholic (and Omegaholic)

This is a hook/glasses case made with 1 strand size 5 Omega nylon and 1 strand Omega Diamonte yarn. The yarn softens the look a little but you still have the stability with the nylon. The frame is a 2.2" silver PS67 and you can see from the pictures at the right how easy it is to attach.

The Handsome bag was made with Omega LaEspiga size 18. I made the bag about the size of the plastic mesh frame then just single crocheted around the top edge. That was easy too. I don't think I'll even have to line it. The frame comes in 2 halves that you can cut to any size then just slip stitch the 2 halves together. This bag was made with the full size frame.

 Why & How?

Crocheting has been a part of my life for over 40 years. I have many, many books and magazines because I am always looking for something

new, either a pattern, yarn or thread. Recently I discovered nylon thread, namely Hilos Omega. I was amazed at the feel when working with it, the clean look of the finished product, and the amazing versatility it offers. Then I learned the size I was using comes in 74 different colors and in 7 additional sizes. There is nothing I can't make with it.

This thread was very hard to find so I've decided to become a distributor. I can now use any size or color I want for the many items I plan on making with it. And I knew that there are lots of other crocheters out there that would be amazed at all the possibilities.

And then I found out that they carry a ton of yarns that I had never seen before. I'm in heaven!!!

But what can you make with this wonderful nylon ????  Totes/bags/purses, hats, cell phone cases, ipod and pda cases, belts, watchbands, baskets, jewelry, bath accessories, bookmarks, bridal accessories, candle holders, doilies, dolls, fans, gift bags, home decor, napkin rings, placemats, hotpads, pet leash, runners and scarves, sachets, vases, wreaths, plant hangers, aprons, coasters, curtains, bells, tissue covers, and doilies.

Patterns??? There's a few here and more coming. But most of the time I just substitute. If it's fine work like a doily I use size 2 which is comparable to DMC size 20 and I use a size 8 or 9 steel crochet hook. If the pattern is worked with yarn and uses a size E of F aluminum crochet needle, I use size 18 thread. I hope more patterns will become available and will specifically call for this thread

Take a look at the colors and then some of the items I have made. I'll be adding items frequently so please stop back. If you're interesting in purchasing, I guarantee your satisfaction or your money back instantly.

Thanks for stopping by!!!!!
